Another great design & development tool: resizeMyBrowser
I was turned on to another great design and development tool via Twitter; resizeMyBrowser.com
When you visit the site, you are presented with a grid of preset screen resolution buttons for popular screen resolutions as well as resolutions for popular devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Droid. Clicking one of these buttons resizes your browser window to that exact resolution.
Why is this useful?
For me, I finally have a quick way to see how my sites will look to various visitors. I work on a 30" Cinema Screen monitor, and it's difficult to "see" what something is going to look like on a much smaller screen. Now I can!
Another cool feature, is this site shows you resolutions for inner and outer widths. Inner widths are the true dimension of the browser content window; where the "stuff" goes. The outer dimension gives you the overall dimension including things like scroll bars and menu bars.
Very cool tool!
